The Good Old Days
A trip down memory lane,
the good old days, only days ago,
returning to year 2019
before the invasion of the coronavirus.
A time when most people worked,
classes held in schools,
people attending sporting events, concerts,
sitting down to eat at restaurants,
shopping, working out at gyms,
a walk in the park.
It used to be, once upon a time,
as one turned older, they
reminisced of the good old days,
memories of their youth.
Now, the good old days,
for one and all, a short time ago.
Times have changed, so quickly.
Yes, we all wish a return for those days.
Surfing the Waves
Devilish illness, invisible enemy,
first wave, second wave,
the waves seem endless.
I am on a surf board,
riding the wave.
May I ride this one out.
